About
the Department
The
department has a computer
laboratory (A104) with twenty-four updated PCs and software
including MS Word, SPSSX, Internet access, and a laser printer. The
computer lab is used for a variety of courses including statistics and
research methods.. The lab is staffed with lab assistants and is
conveniently located near the faculty offices.
The
department offers a variety of opportunities for students to enhance their
education and practical experience in the field. Students have the option
of assisting
faculty with
research projects, conducting independent research and participating in
internships at organizations in the Worcester community.
The
honors program commences Fall 2000 and gives psychology majors the
opportunity to focus on research projects. The honors
program can benefit all psychology majors especially those
interested in attending graduate school and pursing a career in
psychology.
We
also have a local Psi Chi chapter
that hosts an annual banquet and recognizes students' achievements and
academic successes.
