VICE PRESIDENTS APPOINTED
(Worcester, MA –
May 17, 2004)
Upon the recommendation of Worcester State College President Janelle C.
Ashley, the WSC Board of Trustees has approved the promotions of Kathleen
Eichelroth, CPA from Chief Financial Officer to Vice President for
Fiscal Affairs and Thomas M. McNamara from Executive Director of
Development and External Relations to Vice President for Institutional
Advancement as of July 1, 2004.
As vice president of Fiscal
Affairs, Eichelroth will be responsible for all fiscal matters and business
functions of the college. She will be responsible for planning,
administration and supervision of the Fiscal Affairs division inclusive of
Student Accounts, Payroll, General Accounting, Grant Accounting, Budget,
Accounts Payable, Purchasing, Central Receiving and Mailroom. Eichelroth
has served as WSC’s chief financial officer (CFO) since March, 2003. She was
hired as the College’s comptroller in 1998. Prior to coming to WSC, she
worked for the Worcester Redevelopment Authority as Financial Manager,
responsible for management of all financial activities under the direction
of the executive director.
As vice president
of Institutional Advancement, McNamara will be responsible for providing
leadership in the planning, development and administration of the College’s
advancement and fundraising activities. McNamara has served as the executive
director of Development and External Relations since 2001; prior to that he
served as director of Development (1999) and director of Alumni Development
(1998). Before he came to Worcester State College, he worked for Allmerica
Financial Corporation. McNamara played for the Worcester State College
Lancer Basketball team and received the top student honor, the Ella Mae
Whitney Prize, upon his graduation with a bachelor of arts degree in 1994.
