Tests for Educator Licensure
Mathematics Test 09 Review Class

Are you interested in teaching high school or middle school math? Did you
know that you can become licensed to teach high school math even if you
haven’t taken any education courses? You need to take and pass three
licensing exam offered by Massachusetts Board of Education. One is on
mathematics; the other two are on Communication and Literacy Skills.
The
math exam tests knowledge of Calculus I and II, Discrete Math, Number
Theory, Probability and Statistics, and Geometry. If you have completed
those courses, please consider joining us for a review session for the math
exam.
Mathematics Test 09 is the subject matter test required to teach math grades
8-12, one of two tests that fulfill the subject matter test requirement to
teach math grades 5-8. MTEL review class begins January 3, 2007.
