GERWICK PUPPET SHOW TO ENTERTAIN ALL AGES

(Worcester, MA – February 13, 2003)   Students from the Worcester Public Schools will be entertained by the Gerwick Puppet show at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. on Friday, March 28, 2003 in the Administration Theatre at Worcester State College.  An additional show will be held at 7:30 p.m. for the general public.  The productions have been made possible through the annual Shirley Albert Performance Series at Worcester State College.

Co-founders Deborah Costine and Len Gerwick have toured throughout New England for over 25 years and have created more than 12 productions and built 200 puppets.  They have performed more than 4,300 times.  Their goal is to create a quality puppet production that thoroughly engages the audience.  A good story, told with energy, enthusiasm, music, lighting, scenery and puppets transports the audience into the life within the stage.

All performances are free and in case of inclement weather, a snow date has been set for March 7, 2003.  For additional information, please call Professor Martin at 508-929-8813 or Professor Foley at 508-929-8804.
