BRISSETTE NAMED TRUSTEE VICE CHAIR

(Worcester, MA – January 7, 2003)  John Brissette, an account executive at Braley & Wellington Insurance Agency Corp., was unanimously elected by members of the Worcester State College Board of Trustees to serve as Vice Chair.  

Brissette, who is the alumni representative on the Board, Class of 1988, will co-chair with Barbara Sinnott, who is the first vice chair.  Due to increasing responsibilities for the chair and vice chair, at the November 12, 2002 meeting, the Board of Trustees determined that the College could be better served by having two vice chairs, and Brisette was elected. 

As an active alumnus, Brissette previously served as president of the WSC Alumni Association Advisory Board. He also served as chair of WSC’s 125th Anniversary Events Committee as well as other college committees.   He also served as White House Advance for former Vice President Al Gore and Mrs. Gore on various trips and events from 1996-2000.
