Worcester Reads Events Schedule:
Outside Lies Magic
This semester’s Worcester
Reads program is focusing on John Stilgoe’s book Outside Lies Magic:
Regaining History and Awareness in Everyday Places.
Dr. Stilgoe is a professor
at Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design, whose " book is about the
acute observation of ordinary things… about enriching your life
unexpectedly." The book is available at the College Bookstore.
Please note
these other events surrounding Worcester Reads which are scheduled at 5 p.m.
in the Faculty Lounge, 3rd Floor, Sullivan Building. Light
refreshments will be available. All events are free and open to the public.

March 27, 2007:
Deborah Carey, Director for Central Sanctuaries/Audubon will speak on where
her passion comes from as she manages, leads, and takes risks with Central
Massachusetts Audubon.
Wednesday, April 4, 2007:

Outside Lies Magic
John R.
Stilgoe tells us about his work, his books, and his inspiration prior to a
conversation with him.
Monday,
April 9, 2007:
Twilight
campus stroll edified by Ed Scholfield, Education Director for Tower Hill
Botanical Garden. Learn to see the campus and your own neighborhood as the
magic it can provide.
In addition
to the events above a seminar and poster session for students and faculty,
“Working Together for a Sustainable Worcester; the Colleges and the
Community” will be held on Friday, April 20 at 9:00 a.m. in the Ghosh
Center, Multimedia Auditorium. Coffee will be available in the morning and
lunch will be provided. Free Admission. Call ext. 8130 to RSVP.
