Citywide Poetry Harvest Festival Opens at WSC
In conjunction with the Worcester County Poetry
Association, Worcester State College will kick off the citywide Poetry
Harvest Festival --celebrating the 100th birthday of native son
Stanley Kunitz -- with poet Mark Doty, the only American
poet to have won Great Britain's T. S. Eliot Prize.
Mark Doty will be reading at 7:30 PM, Wednesday,
September 28, in the Multimedia Auditorium of the Ghosh Science and
Technology Center. Readings by nationally and internationally known poets
and writers will be featured at all the city’s colleges throughout the fall.
These readings are free and open to the public.
