“Preventing Violence at Worcester Public Schools” is the focus of this year’s Spring Family Academy, offered by The Family Resource Center of the Latino Education Institute, 6-8 PM, April 12-15, 2005 in the Fallon Room, Student Center at Worcester State College.  

Family Academies are three day seminars to provide Latino parents from Worcester with training about topics related to the navigation of the Worcester Public Schools.  Experts in the fields of mediation, drug prevention and prevention of hate crimes will be some of the facilitators of the program.  Certificates of participation and dinner are provided. Transportation and childcare can be arranged for those who request them with at least 48 hours notice.
