College Relief  Efforts to Support the Victims of Hurricane Katrina

Welcome to Worcester State College's Accelerated Semester Online, a program being offered in collaboration with Massachusetts Colleges Online, the Sloan Foundation, and the Southern Regional Education Board.

Several events are scheduled to give the WSC community an opportunity to personally contribute to the relief efforts for the victims of Hurricane Katrina:

  • Friday, September 9: State Representative Robert P. Spellane is conducting a CLOTHING DRIVE. Bring in new/used clothing to the Information Desk in the WSC Student Center on Friday--ONE DAY ONLY.
     
  • Tuesday, September 20: Red Cross Blood Drive, Student Center. Walk ins Welcomed!
     
  • Friday, September 30: Lancer Football vs. Westfield State, 7 PM, ALL GATE RECEIPTS FOR THIS GAME WILL GO TO THE RELIEF EFFORT. Enjoy the game and contribute to a very worthy cause! Tickets are $5 general and $3 for students.
     
  • Ongoing: SGA Selling Hurricane Relief Wristbands
    SGA President Jill Mandeville would like you to know that the students are selling wrist bands that say Hurricane Katrina Relief! The wristbands are $2 a piece and the proceeds will go to the Red Cross. If you are interested in buying one, please e-mail her at jmandeville@worcester.edu and she will either get one to you or supply a bag of them to sell.
