August 2006 Construction Notices*

PARKING

• The May Street Entrance and Parking Lot are closed to traffic during the month of August, except to construction vehicles.

• The Faculty Lot behind Sullivan Building is off-line for parking for the next couple years as this will be the temporary location of the Administration Building during the renovation project.

• The reassigned Faculty Lot between Sullivan and Administration Buildings will be off-line during the month of August. Faculty are asked to park in General Parking for the month of August.

• Staff Parking behind the Administration Building is off-line for the month of  August.

• Staff parking in front of the LRC has been relocated to the Student Center Lot for the month of August.

TRAFFIC PATTERNS

• On Friday, August 11th, the roadway between the LRC and the Student Center will be closed due to paving activities.

• The main access roadway in front of the Sullivan Building is closed to traffic during the month of August.

• Main campus entrance is the NORTH ENTRANCE during the month of August.

• An additional entrance is through the Alumni Gates with a right turn only.

• The Lake Ellie roadway, which was a one-way road, is now a TWO-WAY road going to and from the residence halls. The main road leading to the residence halls by the LRC is for use by construction vehicles only.

ADMINISTRATION BUILDING RENOVATION

• The Modular Units for the temporary Administration Building will begin to arrive August 11th. They will be staged in the May Street Parking Lot.

• A large crane to install them will arrive around August 14. 

• The modulars are expected to be in place between August 14-28. On August 28 interior work on the building will begin.

• Visual and Performing Arts Department will move on August 28.

• International Program Office will be moved by August 28.

ADDITIONAL NOTICES:

• On Friday, August 18th, from noon to 5:00 pm, the Sullivan Building will be without electric service and the building will be closed.

• The sidewalk in front of the LRC will be in place by August 10.
