Office of Public Relations and Marketing

The Office of Public Relations and Marketing seeks to advance and promote Worcester State College as the foremost, liberal arts college in Central Massachusetts.

Public Relations includes news, special event planning, publications, web content and photography services.  Marketing includes an integrated marketing approach through advertising and consistent institutional branding. The Marketing Committee, appointed by the president, meets throughout the academic year to create integrated marketing strategies.

Working With Our Office
The Office of Public Relations and Marketing handles a variety of communications and marketing issues for Worcester State College, including media relations, publications, campus photography, community relations and branding/marketing.

The office generally handles material that is going to an external audience, but also provides faculty and staff with a monthly internal newsletter.  The office will also consult with the campus community – time permitting – on publicity and media relations issues.

Marketing efforts are handled through the office with support from the Marketing Committee, which is comprised of representatives from Enrollment Management, Graduate and Continuing Education, Printing and Publication Services, Information Technology (web), Alumni Relations, Department of Communications, Department of Business, and Center for Health Professions.  The College also contracts with an outside advertising agency, Davis Advertising of Worcester. Statistical information about the college is available through our Quick Facts brochure.

Use of the College’s wordmark and logos are copyrighted and managed by the Office of Public Relations and Marketing.  The Institutional Identity Guidelines are provided to the College community and printers to ensure the integrity of the College’s image and to create consistency of style.

We look forward to working with you in a collaborative manner to present Worcester State College, her programs, and people to the public.
