Aim for consistency and strive to make the citation similar in style to the style manual you are using.

  • Documentation Guidelines - From Duke University, a very comprehensive  and clearly written guide covering all kinds of examples from print to electronic sources, including citing full-text articles from databases. Gives examples from the four most popular style manuals: Turabian (6th ed.), Chicago Manual of Style (14th ed.), 5th edition of the MLA Handbook, and the 5th edition of the APA style manual.
