Saving to Your Personal Drive
Students and faculty of Worcester State
College are provided with personal network drive space to be used as a safe
and secure location to save personal files. Files may be added to or
retrieved from your personal network drive using any computer on the WSC
campus. While different programs may have minor variations in the way a
file is saved; the process of saving a file to your personal network drive
will be the same for most programs.
- Create your file as normal.
- When you are ready to save your file, use
the Save As… command.
- In most programs, Save As… is located
under the File menu (File > Save As…).
- This will open the Save As pop-up
window.
- Click the drop-down arrow
located in the Save in: field to view all the available
drives.
- Click on your personal network
drive in the drop-down listing, to select the drive as the location to
save to.
- Your personal network drive will be
named “username”$, where “username” is your username.
- Enter a name for your file in the File
name: field.
- Click the Save button or
press Enter to save your file.
- The file has now been saved to your
personal network drive.
