Short Term Faculty-Led Study Tours

Earn credits while traveling with a Worcester State College faculty  and students during semester breaks. Each year WSC faculty  develop short term international opportunities to give students the chance to experience in the field the theories they are learning in the classroom. Field research on these programs is integrated into classroom work.

2006-2007 short term faculty led program destinations include:

  • UK

  • Galapagos (this program is scheduled to run again in 2008)
Please take a look at Vol. 1 No. 1 of the Galapagos Initiative Newsletter

  • Costa Rica This program was developed by Suzanne Gainer in the Communications Department.  It is designed as an opportunity for budding photographers to test and improve their skills while in Costa Rica.  It is hoped that this will become an annual excursion.  For more information please contact Suzanne Gainer

  • The Amazon (this program is scheduled to run again summer 2007)

  • Belize.  This program is currently being developed for Spring 2007.  It is primarily designed to give nursing students an experiential international opportunity.  For more information contact Kate Baldor in the Nursing
    Department.
