International Conversation Groups

WHAT?      Speak with our students from other cultures, and give them a chance to practice their English. Learn about the world, or at least find out about a few other countries! Talk about anything under the sun. Our current students are from Haiti, Brazil, Korea, Taiwan, Albania, Syria, Peru, Italy, Colombia, Nepal, and Poland, to name just some. Any places you might want to travel to, or learn about?

WHEN?      Contact IELI Director Susan Seibel at 508-929-8120 or sseibel@worcester.edu

HOW?

Our meetings are very informal in a relaxed atmosphere. If you can visit for any period of time on these dates you would be most welcome! The main idea is to get people talking, and give them the opportunity to practice their English in small groups or in pairs. There is no expectation of you to be a great conversationalist, or to be an expert on U.S. culture, just be open to some sharing, and interested in new people!

If you are not able to join us at these times, please contact our office: individual

conversation partners and classroom assistants are needed, and can even qualify

                         for work-study.
