Starting the Admissions Process
The first step in the admissions process is to complete and submit the
online admissions application. All remaining documents (with
the exception of test scores and transcripts which are sent directly to Graduate
Admissions by the issuing agency) should be sent to the Graduate
Admissions Office, Worcester State College, 486 Chandler Street,
Worcester, MA 01602. Once your file is complete, it will be reviewed.
Deadlines for Admission
The Speech Language Pathology, School Psychology, and the Occupational Therapy programs
admit students only during the Fall semester. Refer to the
application for these deadlines. Currently, all other graduate programs
operate on a rolling admissions cycle You should begin to assemble your file
at least two months before the term you wish to be accepted. Time is
needed for transcripts to be ordered and sent and for the test results
to be processed and mailed. Your letters of reference will take
additional time. Files will be reviewed when complete.
Taking the Tests
The GRE (Graduate Record Exam), MAT (Miller Analogies Test), and GMAT
(General Management Aptitude Test) are all administered through private
testing agencies or other colleges. Information concerning test
sites and dates may be obtained online.
Scores should be sent to Graduate Admissions. If you have an advanced
degree you are exempt from the required test scores.
Letters of Recommendation
Two Recommendation for Admission forms are included with the
application. Recommendations should be originals and be related
specifically to the candidate's ability to pursue advanced study, to
express ideas and to work effectively in one’s chosen field of
employment. Recommendations may be sent on letterhead but should be
attached to the form.
