Geography Honor Society

GTU stands for Gamma Theta Upsilon, International Geographical Honor Society. The local chapter at Worcester State College, Zeta Omicron, holds a number of academic and social activities throughout the year. We usually celebrate National Geography Awareness Week in November by inviting guest speakers to discuss current geographic topics and by initiating new members. We often go on Field Trips in the spring to visit places of geographical interest in New England. Membership is open to any student who has completed at least three courses in Geography and three semesters at Worcester State and has maintained a "B" average in these courses. (Return to Students)
