Internships, field trips and
activities of our honor society are available for our students, giving
them an opportunity to explore and focus their geographic studies on our
Central Massachusetts region. We now have a cooperative education agreement
with the Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), U.S.
Department of Agriculture. The agreement will enable students who
graduate with a major in Geography/Earth Science to obtain immediate
employment with the NRCS upon graduation for a trial period as a
"student trainee". the student must complete a course in Soil
science and Hydrology, which we plan to offer in the spring or fall of
2002.
