The College's financial aid staff is available to counsel students with financial aid questions and concerns.  Contact the Financial Aid Office for an appointment with a counselor if any financial difficulties arise.  Each student is assigned a Financial Aid Counselor according to the student's last name as listed below.  By using this method you will be able to establish an ongoing relationship with your Financial Aid Counselor.  

The College's Counseling Center assists students in coping with personal issues which interfere with their personal development and sense of well being.  Individual counseling is available to anyone seeking assistance.  Support groups are also available during the academic year.  Workshops on a variety of topics related to personal growth are offered each semester.

Jayne McGinn: Director of Financial Aid.  Jayne is responsible for the database management and the day-to-day operation of the Financial Aid Office.    She is also the assigned counselor for students whose last name begins with T - Z  You can reach Jayne at (508)929-8058 or Jayne.McGinn@worcester.edu.  

Margaret Shagro: Financial Aid Counselor.  Margaret manages the Federal Loan Programs at Worcester State College and our America Reads, America Counts program.  She is also the assigned counselor for students whose last name begins with A - C.  In addition she assists students at the front desk and on the telephone at (508)929-8057 or Margaret.Shagro@worcester.edu.

Kathleen Keegan: Financial Aid Counselor.  Kathy is responsible for receiving students' federal data electronically as a result of their Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA), and for Pell Grant Processing.  Kathy is the assigned counselor for students whose last name begins with N - S.  In addition she assists students at the front desk and on the telephone at (508)929-8658 or kkeegan@worcester.edu.

Robin Vario:  Financial Aid Counselor.  Robin manages all state and private loans and state grants and scholarship programs.  She is the assigned counselor for students whose last name begins with I - M.  In addition she assists students at the front desk and on the telephone at (508)929-8662 or Robin.Vario@worcester.edu.

Jennifer English: Financial Aid Counselor.  Jennifer oversees correspondence sent out to students and manages the work study program.  Jennifer is also responsible for the development and maintenance of our web page.  She is the assigned counselor for Veterans and Mass Rehab clients  She is the assigned counselor for students whose last name begins with D - H.  In addition she assists students at the front desk and on the telephone at (508)929-8820 or Jennifer.English@worcester.edu.

Elaine Knott:  Clerk III.  Elaine is our front line person.  She manages the front desk and answers the students' general financial aid questions either in person at the front desk or on the telephone at our main number (508)929-8056.
