Library of Useful Texts on Literature
Dr. Yang's Office, Sullivan 304F

Below is a list of texts that are useful for understanding the basics of various literary theories, literary terms and movements, and even some grammar essentials. The St. Martins Casebook series is especailly useful for not only their definitions of terms, but for their sample essays in various critical theories analyzing the work of literature on which the casebook focuses (e.g. Hamlet, The Dead, Wuthering Heights, Frankenstein). These casebooks also contain good bibliographies on both theory and the major texts themselves.
