The Center for Business and
Industry is pleased to host the Certified Global Business Professional
series, presented by the Massachusetts Export Center. This program will also
be sponsored by Sovereign Bank and the Massachusetts Alliance for
International Business.
The NASBITE Certified Global
Business Professional designation (CGBP) is the only nationally-recognized
professional credential that demonstrates an individuals competency in
international business. Join us for this new, comprehensive seminar series
specifically designed to help individuals prepare for the CGBP exam while
providing practical, real-world information on all aspects of international
business. Participants who complete the entire series will receive a
certificate of completion issued by the Massachusetts Export Center. One
month following the conclusion of the seminar series, individuals will have
the opportunity to take the CGBP exam in Worcester. Individuals passing the
exam will receive the CGBP designation and may use the credential logo and
wordmark on resumes, business cards and other collateral identifying them to
the public as individuals proficient in global commerce. Space is limited,
so register early! Note: The seminar fee does not include exam fees, and
individuals must register for the exam directly with NASBITE. Eligible
candidates for the NASBITE CGBP credential must have completed at least 2
years of college-level classes OR worked in the international trade field
for at least 2 years.
Faculty
Julia Dvorko, Ph.D., MBA
Dr. Julia Dvorko is the Central
Massachusetts program director for the Massachusetts Export Center and the
Massachusetts Small Business Development Center Network. Based at Worcester
State College, Julia assists Central Massachusetts companies in all aspects
of international trade and coordinates export programs and seminars in the
area. Julia has over fifteen years of business experience in several
countries including Russia, Sweden and the U.S.
Previously, she worked at the
MSBDC office in Amherst, two joint ventures in Russia and a division of
Volvo in the North of Sweden. During her career, she has also completed
consulting assignments for two Fortune 500 companies and a number of small
businesses in the U.S., Ukraine and Russia. Julia has a MBA degree from the
University of Massachusetts, and a Ph.D. from Moscow State University. In
2006 she received a designation of the NASBITE Certified Global Business
Professional, achieving the all-time highest score for the CGBP exam.
Julia is fluent in English,
Ukrainian, Russian and French, and has a working knowledge of several other
languages.
