Requirement-Based Design

32 hours

Equipped with only a general idea of business requirements, business stakeholders usually depend on an analyst to articulate these requirements. The analyst must convert the general information into the functionality and features required of the system, application, initiative, or enhancement. They must ensure that both user and business needs are met. To meet these needs, a detailed analysis of business needs and clearly defined user requirements and specifications are necessary. With a clear specification, analysts and developers are prepared for success.

In this workshop, participants will increase their knowledge and skills in business analysis, functional specification, and design. You will learn how to communicate requirements and to facilitate agreement with all stakeholders. You will also learn how to write a functional specification that clearly and completely defines the requirements in terms that are usable by developers.
