Dear Member of the Class of 2008:
On behalf of the WSC Alumni Association’s Advisory Board and all
alumni, welcome to the Alumni Association! The Alumni
Association is a part of the College and overseen by the
21-member Alumni Association’s Advisory Board. The Alumni
Association seeks to foster and maintain lifelong fellowship
among our 30,000-plus alumni, the majority of whom live and work
in Central Massachusetts.
As a new graduate, you are also automatically a member of the
Young Alumni Chapter, a special chapter created for graduates of
the past ten years. This chapter hosts socials and
career-building events, including an annual welcoming reception
for recent graduates.
I encourage you to continue to participate in WSC events and to
share your current addresses, employment information, and other
items of interest with the Office of Alumni Development.
Annually, the Office of Alumni Development hosts Reunion
Weekend, Homecoming/ Family Weekend, the Scholarship Tea, the
Distinguished Donor Reception, alumni chapter events, and much
more. There are various ways to contact the office, one being
via email at
alumni@worcester.edu. Another
is the online WSC alumni community, which you can join at
http://alumni.worcester.edu.
Here, you have immediate access to current information on the
College and alumni, which is also featured in the Worcester
Statement magazine and the Alumni Alert, both of
which are published twice a year.
You now also qualify for a variety of benefits
and you may continue using your WSC email. Why get a new
email address that your friends and family have to learn? Your
WSC email account will stay active as long as you access it
every six months!
Congratulations on your momentous achievement, and I look
forward to meeting you at future WSC alumni gatherings!
Sincerely,
Steven J. Ward ’76
President
Alumni Association’s Advisory Board
