Commencement Information for
Faculty, Librarians and Staff
Dear Members of the Faculty, Librarians and
Staff: I am writing to encourage your attendance at Commencement on Sunday, May 18th. This is a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the many achievements of our graduating students. Your presence at this important event means a great deal to the students and their families and also celebrates your contribution to the success of our students. Robing for faculty and staff will take place in the Sharks Room, second floor of the DCU Center. Please arrive no later than 11:45 a.m. which will allow time to line up and for the procession to begin promptly at 12:30 p.m. Free parking is available at the Worcester Municipal Parking Garage, 30 Major Taylor Boulevard, with a permit. You may obtain a permit at the President’s Office until Friday or you may obtain one from Jerry Sorge in the Sharks Room on Sunday. Our Commencement speaker will be Lt. Governor Timothy Murray and we will be honoring Drs. Arthur and Martha Pappas with our Community Service Award. I do hope you can join us to honor these distinguished guests, our students, and your hard work that contributes to WSC’s excellence. I look forward to seeing you on Sunday! Worcester State College Commencement
2008 dressed in their regalia and be ready to form a procession line
by 11:30 a.m. (30 Worcester Center Boulevard) is a two minute walk from the DCU Centre. There will be no cost for parking if you are planning to participate in the opening procession. Before leaving, the DCU Center, please pickup a parking voucher from Jerry Sorge who will be distributing them to participating faculty,
librarians and administrative staff. |
