CONCENTRATIONS WITHIN THE CHEMISTRY MAJOR

Note: The Chemistry Major requires 30 credits. These concentrations consist of elective courses beyond the core 30 credits. Concentration in Biochemistry CH 410 Biochemistry I (4 credits) (required) plus two of the following: CH 411 Biochemistry II (4) CH 415 Nucleic Acids Biochemistry (3) CH 240 Pharmacology (3) CH 330 Environmental Toxicology (3) CH 425 Bioorganic Analysis (4) CH 453 Radiopharmaceuticals (4) CH 460 Natural Products (3) BI 371 Molecular Biology (4) Concentration in Environmental Chemistry CH 320 Environmental Chemistry (3 credits) (required) plus two of the following: CH 330 Environmental Toxicology (3) CH 410 Biochemistry I (4) CH 470 Instrumental Analysis (4) GS 250 Hydrology (3) GS 335 Hydrogeology (3)
Concentration in Nuclear Medicine Technology To satisfy the requirements of the Concentration the chemistry major must take Human Anatomy & Physiology I & II plus 40 additional credits of NMT clinical and related coursework. Chemistry majors interested in the Nuclear Medicine Technology program should refer to the NMT Program description. |
