Investigating Graduate/Professional Schools and Finding Helpful Resources

The decision to pursue a degree beyond your bachelors can be an exciting and challenging one.  We recommend that you discuss your plans with your Career Counselor, faculty, and professionals working in the field to which you aspire.  Faculty can be particularly helpful in recommending specific schools and programs.  This is also a great opportunity for you to become more familiar with your professors, who may then write recommendations for you.

As you begin to explore programs, you may find the following sites helpful:

Practice GRE exams with Kaplan

  • If you are considering taking the GRE soon, Kaplan is offering free practice tests. Please visit http://www.kaptest.com/practice to take advantage of this special offering.

Most graduate and professional programs require that you take a test as part of the application process.  Career Services has registration booklets for the Graduate Record Exam (GRE), the Miller Analogies Test (MAT), the Graduate Management Admission Test (GMAT), and the Law School Admissions Test (LSAT).  You can also schedule a time to take the Miller Analogies Test (MAT) through the Career Services Office.  For registration and scheduling information on the Miller Analogies test (MAT), please contact Ms. Dianna Aquafresca at dianna.aquafresca@worcester.edu.
