Lauren Saylor Named MASCAC Player of the Week

Worcester, MA - Worcester State College sophomore Lauren Saylor (Swansea, MA) has been selected as the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference’s Player of the Week for her performances last week in volleyball action.  The Lancers went 1-1 on the week and opened the MASCASC portion of their schedule with a come from behind, 3-2, win over the Trailblazers of MCLA.

In a pair of matches last week, Saylor paced the Lancer attack with 28 kills and 24 digs. 

For the season, Saylor leads the Lancers in kills (119), kills per game (3.05) and hitting percentage (.284) as well as being among the team leaders in digs (99).

Saylor and Worcester State will next take to the court on Wednesday evening when they travel to Newbury College.
