Irish Named Women’s Soccer MASCAC POTW 

Worcester, MA – For the second time this season, Worcester State College senior Kelsey Irish (Hudson, MA) has been named Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference women’s soccer player of the week.  This is the second time in her career that Irish has earned the honor.

Irish assisted on Worcester State's first two goals to help lead the Lancers to a 3-0 win over Salem State in Sunday’s

MASCAC Tournament championship game. Worcester State, which won the MASCAC regular season championship for the second time in three seasons, earned its fourth straight conference tournament title with Sunday’s victory.

Irish and the Lancers will travel to William Smith in Geneva, NY to take on the Herons in their NCAA Regional game on Saturday for an 11:00 am kickoff.  Last season, the Lancers advanced to the second round of the NCAA postseason tournament for the first time in school history.
