Worcester, MA - The Worcester State College women’s soccer team fell to the Keene State Owls on Monday evening in overtime by the count of, 1-0, at John Coughlin Memorial Field on the campus of Worcester State College.

Worcester State, coming off of a heartbreaking loss on Saturday, played the Owls tough throughout as the teams battled to a scoreless draw in regulation. Both teams had scoring opportunities but could not break through with a goal. Both teams had scoring opportunities as they pushed the ball into the offensive zones.

Keene State scored the game-winner just 57 seconds into the first overtime as senior midfielder Katie Parkinson (South Kingstown, RI) knocked home a loose ball off of a Keene State corner kick.

Freshman Kim Massa (Westford) was solid in net once again for the Lancers making 12 saves on the night. Michelle Mason (Fairport, NY) made 3 stops in picking up the victory for the Owls.

Up next for the Lancers are the Falcons of Fitchburg State on Saturday in Fitchburg. Keene State will return to conference action when they travel to Plymouth State.
