– Sophomore guard Tess Donie (Worcester, Mass.) scored 14 points, dished out
five assists and grabbed three rebounds to lead the Trinity College
Bantams to a 72-57 win over the visiting Worcester State College
Lancers in women’s basketball this evening at Ray Oosting
Gymnasium.
Trinity led, 58-54, in the second half
and used a 10-0 run to put the game away. Sophomore guard
Claire Arnstein (Hicksville, NY) scored 11 points to go along with eight
rebounds, six assists, and three steals, while sophomore forward
Christine Card (Waterbury, Conn.) scored 13 points and added
five rebounds for the Bantams. First-year guards
Alexis George (Worcester, Mass.) and
Becca Gigure (West Brookfield, Mass.) stood out for the Lancers, as
George scored a game-high 16 points to go along with seven rebounds
and Gigure had eight points, two rebounds, four assists and three
steals. The Bantams improve to 3-1 with their third win in a row,
while the Lancers fall to 0-6.
