State Defeats St. Joseph's Vt. 81-47

DelleChiaie (Leominster, Mass.) scored 14 point to lead the Worcester State
College women's basketball team to a 81-47 victory over the College of St.
Joseph (Vt.) in the consolation game of the Keene State Holiday Tournament
played in Keene on Sunday. Worcester State improves to 7-3 while St. Joseph falls to 1-13.
Worcester State broke
open a close game with a late spurt late in the first half. Leading 26-19,
the Lancers scored 10 straight points to go up 36-19 on a basket by Amanda
Cosenza (Shrewsbury, Mass.) with just under a minute to play. Rachael Odugbela (Providence, R.I.) scored 11 points and Jamara Exilus (Malden, Mass.) finished with 10 points for the Lancers.
Vicki Guetti (Rutland,
Vt.) had a fine overall game for the Fighting Saints with a game high 20
points and 11 rebounds. Irene Tompkins (Schenectady, N.Y.) added 11
