College (2-0) a 10-9 victory over Emerson College (6-3) in a non-conference

Emerson had tied the score with 26.2 seconds left on an unassisted goal by
Meaghan Ross (FY, Wrentham, Mass.) after Ross pulled the Lions to within one

The

The game was close throughout with Emerson taking early leads of 2-0 and 3-1.
Worcester closed the first half with five consecutive goals, four by Megan
Rosborough (Jr., Uxbridge, Mass.), for a 6-3 lead that was the largest of the
contest.
Emerson pulled within 6-5 on goals by Jess Kalikow (So., Brookline, Mass.) on an
assist by Ross, and a Laura Miley (FY., Cranston, R.I.) unassisted marker with
just over two minutes expired in the second half. The teams then traded goals
with Johnson, Abby Cosenza (So., Shrewsbury, Mass.), and Feeley scoring for the
Lancers, while Emerson countered with goals from Katie Peters (FY., Acton,
Mass.) and Ross setting up the last minute fireworks.
Worcester goal keeper Lyndsey Nunes (Sr., Westfield, Mass.) had a great night in
the net making 14 saves, including stopping four of eight free-position goals.
