Blais Named MASCAC Field Hockey Player of the Week

Worcester, MA - Worcester State College junior Ginelle Blais (Marlboro, MA) has been selected as the Massachusetts State College Athletic Conference Player of the Week for her performances on the field for the Lancer field hockey team last week.

Blais scored a goal and posted a pair of assists to help the Lancers to a 2-0 mark last week. In Saturday’s 2-1 overtime MASCAC and Little East conference win over Fitchburg State, Blais netted a goal and assisted on the game-winner in overtime.  Earlier in the week, Blais assisted on a game-tying goal in Worcester State’s 2-1 win over Clark University.

Blais is currently second on the Lancers in scoring this season with a pair of goals and 2 assists.

Blais and the rest of the Lancers will be back in action on Saturday when they host the Rams of Framingham State College at 11:00 am on Coughlin Field.
