Worcester, MA – In a contest that resumed after being suspended due to a power failure back on September 14th, the Clark University Cougars held off the Worcester State Lancers, 2-1, Thursday evening at Worcester State’s Coughlin Field.  The game was restarted with 25 minutes remaining in the first half with Clark leading, 1-0.

Clark arrived to Worcester State with the, 1-0, lead thanks to a goal off a penalty corner by senior Ginny Mike (Franconia, NH) who converted a pass from Carley Corkum (Newbury, MA).

Clark prevented an overtime session when forward Lauren Blake (Oakland, MA) tipped home a blast from Mike on a penalty corner play to send the visitors home with the, 2-1 victory.

Goaltender Erin MacDonald (Dedham, MA) made 4 saves for Worcester State.  Clark University keeper Kaitlin Kelley Guilford, CT) stopped 8 Lancer shots.
