Worcester, MA - The Worcester State College field hockey team defeated the Rams of Framingham State College Saturday afternoon by the score of 1-0 at Coughlin Memorial Field on the campus of Worcester State College.

The only score of the game came from Ashley Bonina (Marlboro, MA) with 33 seconds remaining in the first half on a feed from senior Christen Watt (Hubbardston, MA). The lead stood up as Worcester took a 1-0 victory.

Alisha Bates (Palmer, MA) made 5 saves in net for the Lancers.

The victory improves the Lancers to 6-4 overall and 3-2 in Little East action. Framingham goes to 2-5 overall and 2-4 in Little East play.

Next up for Worcester State is a Little East makeup game at Southern Maine on Monday. Framingham State returns to action on Tuesday when they host the Anna Maria Amcats.
