Coach Lavender graduated cum laude with a double major of Business Management and Criminal Justice.  He was on the NIIC Academic All-Conference team his junior and senior years.

Chris DeSantis

The left-handed hitting first baseman was a member of three regional championship, three Little East Conference regular season and three Little East Conference playoff championship teams at Eastern, with the Warriors competing in the national championship game in 2004.

In a 168-game career, DeSantis batted .308 with 168 hits, 223 total bases, eight home runs and 98 RBI, setting seasons records as a senior with 485 putouts and 525 fielding chances. In his final three seasons, he appeared in 148 of a possible 153 games.

Jeff LaHair

Coach LaHair is beginning his second year on the Lancer baseball staff.  Coming off a season when he was the MASCAC Co-Player of the Year (5th Lancer since 2000), LaHair kept the feeling going as the starting 2B for the Worcester Tornadoes. He played under former MLB Rookie of the Year Rich Gedman and those learned qualities will certainly pay off as he’ll handle the infielders and baserunning duties this spring. The Lancer captain in 2006 hit the greatest HR in school history with a walk-off bottom of the 9th bomb to win the 2005 MASCAC Tournament. He also hit the game-winning grand slam vs. Framingham to win the MASCAC regular season title. LaHair was a 2-time All-MASCAC player, 2-time 2nd team All-New England, Male Athlete of Year, Team MVP & Top Hitter. Brother Bryan made the Mariners 40-man roster in 2007.
