Is on-campus
housing guaranteed for all students?
While we try to accommodate our
Residence Halls to as many students as possible, on-campus
housing is first-come first-serve and is not guaranteed. There is no special criteria to be eligible for
living on-campus. No student is guaranteed housing until
they have been accepted into the college, and pay their
dormitory deposit. If a student is waitlisted, and no
dormitory is available, they are eligible to receive refund
only on the $150.00 (Dormitory Deposit) out of the $300.00
Total Deposit.

Freshman students are not be allowed to
have cars on campus. Initial Resident parking requests will

considered under extenuating circumstances. Please contact

incoming student, you must first be accepted into the
college and have paid your Enrollment Deposit, and fill out

done through the Academic Services/Freshman Studies Office,
located in Room 112 in the Sullivan Building, across from
the Registrar's Office. You may contact them directly at

I have withdrawn or taken a leave of
absence or have stopped attending Worcester State College
altogether. What do I need to do to get back into the
college?
In most cases, you can simply be
re-instated through the Office of The Registrar. If you have
attended other institutions since your leave of absence, or
if you are coming back for a major that has higher Admission
standards than your previously enrolled major, you will be
required to re-apply for Admission at the Admissions Office.
Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Criminal
Justice and Education Majors are majored which have higher
Admission Standards. Applying for these majors will require
going through the Admissions Process again.
Do you offer Dual-Enrollment?
Unfortunately, WSC no longer offers the
Dual-Enrollment Agreements with High Schools.
How do I know what credits are
transferable, and how many credits I can transfer maximum?
The Admission Counselors at WSC perform
the transfer credits and furnish all students with a copy of
all the credits that have been accepted and allocated by
WSC. If you need to find out what credits will transfer in,
you may need to make an appointment with an Admissions
Counselor.
Worcester State College will only accept
no more than 60 credits from a Community College. If you
have a Bachelor's Degree, and are returning for a Second
Baccalaureate degree, or are working on completing your
Primary Baccalaureate degree, the maximum credits that are
accepted will be 90 credits. You need 120 credits to
graduate with a Bachelor's Degree.
How do I go about setting up an
Interview with Admissions?
The Office of Undergraduate Admissions
does not give interviews for the process of being admitted
into the college. Interviews are only requested for the
competitive majors if felt necessary by an Admissions
Representative. You will receive written notice in the mail
if this is required.
Are there any
exemptions for the SAT requirements?
Students who are 22 or older, or who
qualify as a transfer student with 12 - 24 transferable
credits with a satisfactory GPA do not require SATs. Also,
students who have documented Learning Disabilities can be
considered exempt, but must submit to us official
documentation of such Learning Disabilities (IEP).
Do you accept
copies of transcripts?
We require Official Transcripts that
are signed and stamped by the Institution's Registrar
or designee in a sealed envelope, forwarded directly
from the institution to our office via mail.
